If you shop online why not consider using our 'buy at' site. By going via our site the group receive funds relative to the amount of your purchases. But the best part is there is no cost to you. There are over 100 retailers participating in the scheme and the average basket raises £2.50 for our group.

Exmaples of retailers include Mothercare, John Lewis, Waterstone, M&S and Thorntons.

Fundraising Ideas

Thornton Rose is self funded and we rely on our own fund-raising efforts and the amazing generosity Trusts and the local community. It takes a lot of money just to keep things running our costs are £27.000 pounds a year!
We have no paid staff everyone at the group contributes their time on a voluntary basis.

The main examples of our annual running costs are:

• £12.500 Livery costs.
• £2.500 Feed costs.
• £4.000 Farrier costs (horse shoeing)
• £1.700 Insurance costs

Subscription costs at present are £7.00 per week. Monies from the subscriptions helps to maintain the running costs and use of the livery yards facilities. Riding sessions are free.

This shows just how critically important it is to get behind all of our fund-raising events!
We are always on the look out for new and exciting idea's to raise the funds we need.

Donate a Prize, throughout the year our Group holds various competitions, raffles, quizzes and parties to raise funds (see our Events page) and we are always grateful for any prize donation large or small and it goes without saying that we’d love you to come along and join in the fun!
